Start of the first interlining production in Turkey by Emin Ustunel.

1975

Pioneering investment in the first adhesive coated interlining in Turkey and among the few in Europe by Erol Ustunel (of the second generation of Ustunels in the industry).

1978

Erol Ustunel founds his own company, Telateks A.S., headquartered in Tuzla-Istanbul, Turkey.

1984-2000

Development of full range of interlinings and investment in a fully integrated textile infrastructure, including knitting, weaving, dyeing, chemical treatment, and new coating lines.

2003

Investment in the first multiaxial line and the formation of a new business unit, METYX Composites, to serve the composite industry.

2004

Opening of the new plant dedicated to technical textiles for composites by Erol Ustunel and his sons, Ugur and Tunc Ustunel, marking a third generation of Ustunels in the industry.

2005

ISO 9001:2008 certification and DNV & Lloyds Register Marine Type Approval Certifications for METYX Composites products.

2005

Launch of distribution business unit to provide a complete portfolio of composites-related products and total solutions for composites producers.

2006

Launch of METYCORE, the RTM reinforcement range.

Qualification in major wind blade accounts.

Launch of of textile vacuum bagging products (breather, flow mesh, and peel ply).

2009

Launch of METYCORE MAX, a specialty reinforcement engineered for series production, large scale projects, and products where highly filled resin systems are needed.

2010

Launch of standard multiaxial carbon fabric range.

Launch of carbon woven fabric range.

2011

Investment in a new manufacturing facility in Manisa, Turkey with a total closed area of 12,500 square meters.

Launch of glass woven fabric range.

2011

Setup of German subsidiary company to serve customers in Germany and surrounding EU countries.

2012

Investment in carbon spreading technology and launch of lightweight specialty carbon fabric range.

2013

North American Bus Industries’ (NABI) former production facilities in Kaposvar, Hungary was acquired.

2018

A new plant in Gastonia, USA was acquired.
